Matthew Anoa'i, better known by his ring name Rosey, was an American professional wrestler who was a member of the Anoa'i wrestling family. He was born on April 7, 1970, and passed away on April 17, 2017, at the age of 47. Rosey was best known for his time in WWE, where he performed from 2002 to 2006.
Rosey made his WWE debut as a member of the tag team 3-Minute Warning alongside his cousin Jamal. The team later disbanded, and Rosey went on to form a tag team with The Hurricane, known as "The Superheroes." They had a run as WWE Tag Team Champions in 2005.
After his release from WWE in 2006, Rosey continued to compete on the independent wrestling circuit. He also made sporadic appearances in other promotions, such as All Japan Pro Wrestling and Pro Wrestling NOAH.
In addition to his wrestling career, Rosey was also a talented artist and musician. He released an album titled "Old School Soldier" in 2004.
Sadly, Rosey passed away in 2017 due to heart failure. He was remembered by fans and fellow wrestlers for his passion for the business and his charismatic personality in and out of the ring.
